I wasn't going to listen to this one, but I stumbled upon a clip that made me take pause. Their new singer is nearly a dead-ringer for someone I love quite dearly.

That was enough for a listen, and it was an odd feeling hearing the similarity on such different music. Unfortunately, the album itself is merely good, while her voice is magnificent. It's sort of like how Cassandra's Crossing is 80% of the way to being Lzzy Hale, while this is only 50% of the way to the doppelganger.

It speaks to when people recommend something because it sounds like something else. Merely having the same sound isn't enough. The vocals alone would point to me loving this, and I do love her voice, but the songs don't speak to me much at all.
