Majestica - Only 6 tunes? Pfff... 6 amazing tunes nonetheless. First time seeing the mighty Tommy and his crew after the last gig got cancelled coz of covid. Next time come on your own and play all night Tommy!
Dominum - Too fun. Frontman Dr. Dead is a pretty funny guy and his stage banter is cool. Band is super tight. Their masks are cool too. Played 10 tunes but but missed my ultimate fave which is "Can't kill a dead man". Still great.
Battle Beast - I think it's my 4th time seeing BB though I'm not 100% on that. I missed them the last time so this time with this bill was a no brainer. The new album is fantastic and the new songs sound epic live. My fave song froom the new album which is Blood Of Heroes was played to perfection. THe star of BB is of course Noora and she didn't disappoint. She's probably only getting better as a singer as she grows a bit older. They played around a 95 min set and by the end I was flagging. Their energy and flashy playing was a delight throughout and they had the Friday night power metal crowd eating out of their hands.
Overall this was a fantastic night of melodic metal with not a single wasted song or moment with suitable supports that meant no one in the crowd was bored judging by the faces. I like it when gigs have great support bands as in this case.
Just 2 more gigs for me this year. Those Damn Crows next week and the mighty Sabaton in December for God knows how many times it is now. Not far from double figures if it isn't 2 digits already... Roll on the mighty Sabaton..
