When you're adding layers to a song, they need to mean something, they need to be important to the composition. If you can remove them and have the song still hit the same way, they're just ear candy. And since we've had this album for so long, and we know the songs weren't recorded with any of this extra stuff in mind, it all sounds tacked on. None of it sounds integral.

Plus, the new mix sounds as compressed to shit as "The Mandrake Project". I fear Bruce's ears are totally shot.
