Last time I saw KD was back in 2007 and the time before that was 2002 so it’s been a while. I was really looking forward to this one and it was killer to say the least.
Two support bands. Unto Others whom I quite like on record were quite boring live. All their songs start to sound very samey.
Main support were legendary gloomsters Paradise Lost. I’ve seen them more than 5 for sure and usually as headline but they had to take a back seat this time. They were excellent though playing many different f their biggest hits. Would’ve loved to hear True Belief. That song is pic. But the tunes we did get were perfect.

KD played a 90 minute set including 2 new songs. The stage set up was the familiar mansion structure with a 2 tier staircase. The band is tight as hell and KD is in fine voice for a 69 year old who’s already cheated death. The best songs are the classics. The new songs are kinda meh. The crowd was non stop into it and It was one hot and sweaty gig. Luckily I was sitting in the balcony. Fave songs were Arrival, Sleepless Nights, Invisible Guests, The Candle and of course Welcome Home and encore Abigail.
You could say the set was short on songs and was padded out with various interludes to allow KD rest. What do you expect from a 69 year old with open heart surgery. Must be said his falsetto still kicks an hell of a lot of ass.
Waiting for the new album now. I am hopeful but the two new songs are good but nothing more.
Next gig is Priest/Cooper in n around 3 weeks.
