Alice In Chains - Dirt
Enjoyed it back then, but find it so depressing I never play it anymore...

Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding

No other album sounds quite like this one. Molossian guitars, bleak Blake imagery, thundering classics left and right. I was actually disappointed when Bruce and Adrian returned to Iron Maiden after this.
This and Chemical are indeed much superior for me than anything Maiden have released since Bruce returned. Or even since the 80s!

Faith No More - Angel Dust

Deeper, darker, and stranger than The Real Thing. Not as immediate, but worth the investment.
My fave FNM along with tRT. Weird but really good still. Thelast one I enjoyed. Can't stand Patton's vocals on most of the albums after..

Yngwie Malmsteen - The Seventh Sign

If you don’t hate Vescera’s voice and you can tolerate the typical level of Yngwie cheese, then this album is one of his best.
Liked it back then, but never enough to make it in a top 30 or so.
