Quiet Riot - Hollywood Cowboys

The worst of the month, easily. Like last time, Quiet Riot's album sounds like shit. In addition to lousy songs, the vocals and production are abysmal. Frontiers is getting ripped off if Pretty Maids album sounds fantastic on their budget, and Quiet Riot sounds like this. A pathetic joke.
No kidding. Jizzy Pearl's vocals and the awkward beat are reminiscent of Matt Skiba, who's had his last 3 albums release to positive reviews. The cringeworthy by-the-numbers lyrics tell us nothing about the songs on the album. As a whole, he left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Another song that's distinctly worse than "Don't Call It Love" is the unreleased cover of a theme song of Michael Jackson's Dangerous that many speculated he was writing for the King of Pop as well. If you're still on the fence as to whether or not this was the influence for "Black or White," you need only look at how Eminem handles the P. Diddy verse. After every track, Eminem goes into the rhyme at least two or three times in order to talk about the song's themes and how it relates to the mood, image and mood of his lyrics.
