2/10 - Sonata Arctica – Talviyo
I heard the one single and never even thought about listening to more. I didn't even like them so much when they were good.
6/10 - Opeth - In Cauda Venenum An album like Morningrise or Still Life is just impossible I guess.
It is, but I don't want one anyway. I just don't want them to be playing, slow, soft, boring-ass 70s prog. If they just played heavy Opeth with clean singing, I would be all over it.

7.5/10 - Kobra and the Lotus – Evolution
Kobra is still a star on vox.
I don't hear her that way. She's good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I've ever thought I needed to listen to her. I don't know why.
7.5/10 - Sascha Paeth's Masters Of Ceremony – Signs of Wings
the screams are pointless
Yes they are. And since they were pretty much only in the singles, it was a bit of false advertising too.

8/10 - Black Star Riders - Another State Of Grace
Probably their best and most consistent album.
It's more diverse, so I wouldn't call it consistent. The good stuff is really good, but then there's "In The Shadow Of The War Machine", which just sucks.

8/10 - Sinner - Santa Muerte
New female singer fits in well.
Hard disagree. She's good, but Mat barely tries to make her fit in. This should have been a duet album, not this jumbled mess.

8.5/10 - Liv Sin - Burning Sermons
Oh yes the best Liv Sin album by miles.

9/10 - As I Lay Dying - Shaped by Fire
it’s a bit iffy listening to an album by a convicted “near wife killer”
It's more than iffy, but I'll keep my thoughts to myself.
