I liked it too. That's a surprise, since I still find his voice a bit cringe-worthy at times. Both songs have been really good.
Nothing cringy here although the lyrics are so autobiographical that it's like going to a public self help session with your councillor. All good though lol.
I saw that he worked with Marty Fredricksen on the record, so it makes more sense now, assuming he contributed to the writing of everything. Could be one of the big surprises of the year.
Obviously I had to google this chap since I have no idea who he is. It turns out it's Marti btw with an i and he's worked with a lot of famous people and some big rock bands like Aerosmith and Motley Crue and also Daughtry which figures why he'd work with Stapp. Sounds like the partnership has paid off judging by first two songs.

Certainly sounds better than the Art Of Anarchy album he was on. That wasn't bad, and it might not have been his fault, but it was such a huge step down from the first record with Scott Weiland.
Quite liked that AoA album but he bailed and it all ended with bad blood. They tried to sue him for leaving them in the lurch or some such thing. I guess they couldn't find another singer since I haven't heard from them since.
