I guess perception gets skewed by how dead that place is for new music discussion.
This is right. I almost never post anything about new music there anymore, it gets no attention. Here, even though we're fewer, there are more people into new music... PM:Core is nice too, when it's more towards prog metal stuff.
Yeah, there is not much discussion of new music on PMX. There is more here. The discussion is between the same 2 to 5 people each time, of course, but that's something.

I am part of the problem. I am typically too far behind to be listening to the newest releases. Of course, when I eventually post one of my massive lists, few people reply. That might have bothered me in the past, but not now.

Even if I am caught up, I don't feel like I am missing much by not participating. I no longer have much interest in chiming in on a given album. I get the occasional tip mostly from Pirage and Guillaume, and that is good enough for me.
