I liked the first single quite a bit, so I was hoping this was going to be a step back in the right direction. Nope, it wasn't.

They've got a great sound, but the songs didn't click for me. A bit too much doom, and not enough hooks. I listened to "The Unspeakable" again to make sure, and yup, that album slays this one on every level.

It was pleasant to hear, but nothing that's going to stick with me.

Oh, I could say the exact same thing about Glenn Hughes' album. Good production and vocals, but not thrilling songwriting.

Two firmly 'meh' releases.
